The work did begin on the 17th, but we had some problems. We had a gutter fall from the side of the house a few weeks ago in a wind storm. Ever since we have had rain pouring into our bedroom windows. Fixing the side of the house took precedence over the kitchen. We now have new weatherboards were there used to be rot, and we will be replacing the gutter and adding a drip edge soon. We have no clue if it will continue to leak until rains.
Back to the kitchen.
The window was removed and just the top half put back.

Look how it fits right into the house as if we always had a smaller window over the sink.
